I really don’t like 1) how oblivious the MC h is to what is happening (ie-who the bad guys are and how they are controlling people) and 2) how the MC H’s don’t tell the h what they know. I HATE the trope “we weren’t telling you anything to protect you, so you end up leaping to conclusions and making poor decisions”. GAH!
