I'm going to be honest here and say I don't really get this book. Then again, I haven't tried much in the last few months. I'M GONNA FINISH IT THOUGH.

Something touched my shoulder. I whirled and saw the Lord of Beasts looking at me from the gap ten feet away.
"Curran," he said, as if granting me a boon. "You can call me Curran."

Oh, I can't wait to see where this goes!

The cadaver lay spread-eagled upon a blood soaked cloth. Something had ripped into its chest, snapped the breastbone, and tore it away with unbelievable force. The chest cavity lay exposed, the wet, glistening mass of the smashed heart dark against the spongy remains of lungs and the yellow white of the broken ribs. The left arm, wrenched clear of its socket, hung by a thin, bloodied filament.

Gross! I LOVE IT.

I never thought this day would come...whoddathunk?
