Jedao might actually be my fave character in this, but Cheris has won me over too. Shame I suspect things are about to get very ugly for one or both of them... 🙀

One hundred and ninety-one pages in, and I see the first typo. It's depressing that I consider this an amazing feat of good editing, compared to a lot of books I've read in recent years. (It's not even a major typo, just a sentence being reworded on the fly and the old wording not removed: 'It didn't take long for him long to respond.')

I suck at math. I wouldn't know which terms are from real life and which ones are pure fantasy. But I'm enjoying this regardless and so damn curious what is up with Jedao's past. 🤔

Look, I don't know if it's because I hyped myself up to read this, or just because it's that engaging but I'm hooked already.
