How are you finding it?

Like most comprehensive anthologies, it’s hit and miss. But collectively, it casts a singular spell. Lispector is really unlike any other author I’ve read, but I couldn’t explain why if my life depended on it. Is that a sign of great art? I’d say so...

I only just saw this reply! I agree being unable to explain someone’s uniqueness is a sign of great art. Have yet to find my gateway Lispector, maybe there’ll be a story in this collected…

I would recommend the novella, The Hour of the Star. That is my favorite Lispector of all I’ve read so far.
