While the author has clearly done a lot of research on Ancient Egypt, she is incorrect in saying that Isis and Nephthys were birds of prey who "screeched over the body of Osiris". If she had meant that they could *become* birds of prey (kites), it could have been phrased better so as not to be so ambigious.

So far, it's proving a very quick read, but there's a lot of telling-not-showing. There is also the occasional modern linguism that pulls me out of the story. For example, on this page, there's "cloak and dagger", a term that sounds--and is--out of place in an Ancient Egyptian setting.
