Well written and very interesting - again not sure I would classify it as a sleuth story, but I gather the Ben Pecos character turns detective in the other books

Finished One Night in Brownsville by Gary Phillips. Much more of an action treasure hunting story than the sleuthing type, but I really enjoyed it - curious to look at some other of Gary's work

3-stars for Inventions can be Murder by Connie Shelton

I finished A Tale of Two Vineyards by Lise McClendon yesterday already. 3-stars as I really enjoyed the setting and some of the characters! Just not entirely sure who/how/why the subtle refers to it as "A Bennett Sisters Mystery"?

I really enjoyed it! The first short in this anthology makes me want to try the original series original series 😊

Finished Fideau Saves the Day by Kate Flora - very cute. 4-Stars

Killer Thanksgiving by Michelle Bennington gets 3-stars: somewhat predictable but your typical busy-body cosy mystery

Finished the first story, Twelve Highlanders An' a Bagpipe by Katie Munger. I liked the idea and the setting, but the characters/story didn't really grab me... 2-Stars
