So far I am somehow intrigued and annoyed. Enough of the base plot has been laid to get me curious, but I'm having to detangle what I've read from the synopsis, which says 'inspired by ancient Rome.' As a someone who's been an ancient Roman hobbyist, I have to say NOT. Least not so far... Unless they just meant the whole leagues of soldiers and slave thing? Rome didn't/doesn't have copywrite on that...

DNF'd. Lost interest, which is a shame after the very first scene, which was good. But that was it. Just that opening chapter. There was nothing after that, that kept my interest.
