Didn’t care if it would spoil anything, but then realized it didn’t matter bc the majority of it was boring shit.

Now I barely have the urge to finish reading this and I’m not even close to done

Even without using the link to the translation guide for this book, I would’ve been annoyed

Just reading and mentally pronouncing the alien words.
Bc it’s LITERALLY half Korean. Romanized. That’s fuckin annoying for some reason. Like this bitch should’ve at least made a note to say she took Korean influences when creating the alien language. It just feels like cultural appropriation. And this shit is too long

I even had to go back to reread the blurb bc this shit kept losing my attention and made me forget what it’s even supposed to be about.

I had to come back to make a note and rant about the weird writing.

I HATE how this is written. I don’t think I’ll be able to read the entire thing without skimming and skipping a bunch of this shit. But ugh, it’s already so damn long. Literally one star on the bad writing alone.

.. I literally just finished the mimics series first book, thinking that was a long ass book with barely there substance. And so much shit that annoyed me to hell.

Then I added a bunch of new books to my currently reading pile, and chose this one first bc the blurb stuck out more among the others….but damn if I’m NOT looking forward to over 700 pages of who the fuck knows
