Chapter 15 addressing Fr. Ed’s role in racial issues, particularly in honoring Mr. Scott was beautifully and powerfully told. WoW

The ending of chapter 14, where sexual matters are brought up to show father’s pastoral gifts. His abilities are nice but at points it seems a stretch to imply certain things about his outlook, because of the lack of his actual words of his, an issue that the author acknowledges herself.

The element of friendship is one of the great treasures that’s coming forth in this book! Not friendship between perfect people, but people striving to be friends, just for the sake of being with each other in love.

Chapter 10! What a most excellent chapter on friendship and trust in providence.

The ending pages for part one of the biography are most excellent. Why? Because the biographer chose to focus on some amazing pastoral elements that was shown to the life of father Ed, to help bring the reader into his personality, in order to give the appropriate context to some of his political musings.
