I have no interest in Nik and Ailsa’s romance tbh and i am only here for the mystery surrounding the duchess’ abduction and now that the last chapter gave me the shock of my life I am really curious to find out why Rurik did whe he did and he managed to accomplish all of that while being with Nik the whole time. I feel so bad for doubting Gregor all this while

My suspiscions against Gregor are getting stronger and maybe it's just in my head but I am almost sure the sneeze was a part of his plan to warn off the other brigand and he was the one who shot Nik. His grievances with Ailsa's father aren't unknown and this seems like a twisted way he seeks revenge

I started trusting Gregor for a second there but I got an unsettling feeling by him again towards the end of chapter 10, the way he was trying to pit Ailsa against Nik sounded malicious to me ngl. Nik and Ailsa definitely share a chemistry of sort but it's still not enough for me to root for them as a couple

Tata Natasha always lands herself in trouble and it's upon her grandsons to save her everytime smh, I am quite not sure of Ailsa's cousin Gregor quite yet and am keeping an eye on his actions. There is a subtle touch of humor along with romance in this book which I do not really appreciate tbh, I am not a fan of either Ailsa or Nik at present but am hoping this would change soon
