Definitely another interesting story, but I'm not sure it was as good as the first one. The factual as well as copy-editing errors really just bogged things down a bit for me and I felt the ending was a bit more predictable this time around. I think this had more to do with my having a better understanding of the powers at work here, but the issues stands. The lead-in to the next one was pretty interesting though.

The routine of playing a bit loose with the facts is actually bogging this one down. There are some logistical issues here namely with biblical references and how the church hierarchy actually works. The way they are here DO work better with the story, but since this installment is so much more focused on the real world, a lot of this misinformation is a bit distracting. Certainly wondering where this will go though.

For a while I kind of felt like it was lacking a lot of the intelligent symbolisms that characterized the first in this series. That's starting to change a bit which shouldn't be that surprising since this is right about the point where the previous story started to pick up in its significance as well.

After receiving the second book in this trilogy, FO FREE! I've finally gone ahead and jumped into it. Things kind of pick up where they left off, but with some changes which are all explained after a bit. The addition of the son into the mix is something that helps distinguish this from the last work, though there seem to be several other pieces that make this feel distinct.
