After reading 80% of this long book, my library hold expired and I don't think I'm motivated enough to restart. Lots of fantastical ideas in a post-Singularity, post-FTL universe, with not much grounding, and not enough payoff for me. Incidentally, absolutely not "a YA version of Library at Mount Char" (like someone was wondering on this website). DNF
