I read "Aurore Of The Yukon" preceding this; with all of the places, difficult terrain, and names in a way I visualized and remembered. How extraordinarily rewarding to continue with real notations and photographs of these places! I chose well to let a story prepare me. I learned now those 4 years were worst for brave, dear, horses! I didn't know either, many men gave up when they saw Dawson City so full.
