Just finished Isabelle from Castille. What a strict and sanctimonious country. When Isabelle’s daughter Catherine came to London to marry Henry VIII eventually, she continued to stay in London —due to all the freedoms she enjoyed.

Im currently reviewing Josephine. A woman both deprived of tenderness during her stays in a nunnery, and soiled in her desire for beautiful things.

When Anthony came to Cleopatra’s beautiful vessel (with candelabras and golden urns), Cleopatra was wearing flattering clothes , in addition to her hilt and dagger.

Nice work. Trust, but be ready for a lover -turned-traitor.
