This is a re-read for me. I actually read the series the first time in either 2011 or 2012, but at the time, I was blissfully unaware of the very real problem we have in the US of sex-trafficking, so it was a fictional concept in my mind at that time. Then there’s the MMC in the story, Caleb. He’s perpetuating the same crime against the FMC that was done to him….😯 It’s DNF for me this time round.😟
