finally fucking done

im not feeling generous at all

ive certainly read worse books
but rn
this feels like its barely one star worth of rating

i still care nothing for the characters or the plot

if nothing else
rn im eager to search for a new story to dive into
hopefully its good

a little over five hundred pages
taking me so long to get through bc i keep stopping and getting distracted
mainly bc of boredom

ive been over it
and these characters and their stupid little eationship dramas

the sword quest scene was 🥱
the training stuff with the fmc is even more so boring and tedious
then there’s the drama with the reluctant minotaur
and forget the shit with birsha

mainly how she got there
all that shit and trauma
and the mmcs animals or whatever

the guy wasnt an elf
he’s a gryphon

there’s the dragon ofc
the minotaur and the wolf

idr if there’s more mmcs
idk about this rolant guy

honestly
the plot is fucking boring as hell
i really couldnt care less about any of these ppl

so i was right and wrong

this is the book i was looking for
it just took awhile to get to the scene i remembered
which was all the stuff when she got to the castle, something about chess, and cleaning the sleeping dragons scales

i love the dreaming stuff and all the castle magic stuff
which i didnt recall until rereading

i completely forgot about all other details though

apparently this is a reread
i recalled nothing
and still dont
more than that is i dont care to so far from what ive reread

im only familiar with the first fmc and mmcs of this series i think

i was searching for a book id read already with a certain blurb/plot
thought it was this one
but its clearly not

ugh.

Kind of forgettable now that I’m done reading

I’d almost rather read more about what happens to all of them after the bad guy is defeated and they’re free to live their long lives in peace.

Now I’m just eager to find a good series to dive into, 🤞

Thank goodness. Since the sweetverse series is a repeated fave of mine for a reason.

I just wish there were more good moments. The writing/writing style I mean. Like the idea of each sequel in this series so far, has had stronger fmcs and mmcs than the last. I liked that the stronger creatures weren’t immediately introduced, like the best saved for last

I’m predicting

Her nightmares and her feeling drained/or however she put it, is bc of birsha having some kind of another stolen monster ability that allows him access to her dreams, her nightmares and memories, and draining her at the same time.

I’ll be so annoyed if I’m right.

This series has been annoyingly predictable.

My favorite bit so far is the “introduction” to Hywel the sleeping dragon. If it had taken up a whole chapter or two, I wouldn’t have been mad. I’m already dreading the sex scenes this book will likely have like the previous ones in this series.
