Nope. DNF. Life's too short to listen to a character important enough to come up SCORES of times be called by her dead husband's whole name *and* nickname but never by her own. Reading abt a guy getting flayed alive in World W/o End was easier to take. And for anyone about to accuse me of modernism, even the books I've read that were *written* & not just set in the 19-teens were less obnoxious abt this kind of thing.
