I'm finally picking this up again because I'm ready to deal with the sadness, but it's been so long, I can barely remember the case. I think I'm going to have to completely retread it, but I haven't really enjoyed it so I'm not going to do that now. I'm just going to skim because I really want to move on in the series.

I am so bored. Everything is about how sick Paris is and what's going to happen to him. If I didn't already know, I'd be a mess. But I've kind of frozen myself against that. But the whole atmosphere of the book is just depressing. Is the whole series like this?
