Kinda digging this Krakoa storyline a bit more. The self- segregation of mutants that allows them to be their best selves is an intriguing storyline. I'm not sure about The Crucible test. Definitely a strange Messiah thing going on, but it seems to be a yearly thing, that is necessary for everyone.
Apocalypse as a hero, or at least allied with heroes is a strange twist. His name is Apocalypse for crying out loud.

Definitely not as good as the first collection. I hope I'm not letting my distance from the X-Men color my judgment. It felt like at some point in all the old comics, Spider-Man would reflect on losing Uncle Ben, or Batman would think about how criminals are a cowardly lot.
But not here. There's no catching up on what you missed. It's a more mature approach, but it also makes it harder to follow.
