Dunno if this is intentional but I can already tell who the killer is. I’m still enjoying the read though!

I know Mitch is the false culprit and the author is setting him up so that we won’t like him, and suspect him — but much of his actions are unprofessional. How are you baiting a serial killer by telling the killer that his copycat makes the killer look like an amateur? Are you trying to rile him to keep killing?
