I loved the adaptation of Normal People which I started before picking up the book a couple episodes in. I consumed them in tandem and loved them both for what each offered. I recently watched and loved the adaptation of Conversations with Friends. When I picked up the book, I don't know why it surprised me to enjoy being swept up by Rooney's deft narration once again.
