for the first half, a character is referred to by his name or funny variations of it - but in the second half they just start abbreviating it? VERY distracting of a change.
FMC says some pretty obvious things and the boys “fall in love with her brain”.
They established in the first half of the book that one of the boys will act as a bodyguard but throughout the ENTIRE rest of the book he doesn’t ever act

The author tone switched at around 50% and it was way too obvious and extremely distracting. The main being the obvious switch to using “VDB” instead of his name or funny variations of it. But there were many of these little nuances that stood out like a sore thumb.
