Read Kat Richardson’s “The Hollow Hounds”, which revisits H. C. Andersen’s “The Tinderbox” (which I’ve always been fond of), in an American Civil War era, steampunk scenario. A thoroughly enjoyable read.

Read Steven Harper’s “Fair Vasyl”, which I thoroughly enjoyed. Apparently it’s been some nine years since I first started on this anthology (it seems K. W. Jeter’s “La Valse” didn’t prompt me to go on back then), and now Harper’s narrative has put me back on track.
