Thus far I like it! He playfully invites us to historical sensations. For example, when the protagonist and a friend are discussing a Pythagorean idea (like we could do today) one of them exclaims: well that’s what Pythagoras says, but let’s ask him! Then they step into a house where Pythagoras is staying as a guest (which we could not do today).
