In this book, the author discusses realistic but encouraging facts/tips about life. She reiterates the same memo multiple times: "It's about knowing ... there are millions of unexplored .. new passions out there for you to discover and devour" (Eriksson 116). She used the word "devour" to emphasize the idea of loving and doing well in new passions and interests.

Show not tell (self help book) - Charlotte often spoke about her path in life, referring to it through metaphors such as "I'll follow whatever sign i can find, for I need a torch in the night. The stars are too far away now. The stars are too far away" (Erikkson 44-45). It does not directly say, that she feels lost and has no clue what to do with herself/ where to go in her life's journey. She needs a sign, a reason.

Only read the intro. Uses lots of sensory detail and does not start at the beginning. She also often illiterates the same sentence for different paragraphs to make it more poetic. I believe the way she speaks of finding peace from lonliness and of being happy now, engages the readers to read and do the same thing.
