So far, I actually really like this book. I love Koa and Nate’s relationship, and how it exists in a separate safe from Koa’s relationship with Leilani. I actually wish there were a bit more of that, to get to see them interact more.
I’m not loving this “we can’t be together, it’s too dangerous” narrative towards the end, but at the same time, the book is set up this way, so you knew it was coming.
