My mentor Mrs. Reed recently penned a review of this book. That, in addition to Bhatia's critique of the Aadhar judgement, hastened me to pick this book up to understand the nature of a pervasive phenomenon today - that of the meganets ( a critical mass of people, ideas, tech and code) which impose themselves in dangerous ways. Fascinating so far!

David has spent considerable time breaking down what constitutes a meganet in technical and layman terms. He explains it through the meganets he witnessed growing during his time at MS and Google. He extends later to Facebook, gaming, monetization and then cryptocurrencies as meganets in varying capacities. His tech expertise shows. He seems to emphasize on one theme - the impending and eventual loss of control.
