Now that we're seeing discord between the demons and vampire due to Shikama Doji, there's a part of me that still would like to see where Kagami will go with this. Some of the details are murky, but they're still building on to the overall lack of trust among the characters, making more of them not cookie cutter.

I’ll likely finish this first thing in the morning, but the homoeroticism and reveal this volume have been A+ even if the story’s getting a little busy again. At least Kagami is starting to tie the past and present together.
