talking about the war of 1948/49 and it's outcomes (creation of Israel). especially the myths created by both sides that still drive the narrative and make it impossible to move forward. Christians generally supported the Israelis because 1. their religious belief dictates the creation of a Jewish state before the second coming of the Messiah 2. they felt guilty over the Holocaust

Atia Ahmed is starting
read the premise and looks promising and fair to both sides. author has established that the main fault in the differing narrative lies on both sides: - one that the Israelis are unsympathetic towards the Palestinian plight - two that the Palestinians are blind to their own faults

Atia Ahmed author established that there's a clear difference in views of the other population of the state. but they have one thing in common, they've always disliked and mistrusted the other.
the Palestinians felt betrayed by the British, who had promised them independence and then put them first under their own and them under Zionist rule.
the Jewish came from Europe, who had ruled and oppressed it's colony's for centuries, killing and disowning the native populations. naturally they didn't see a reason to work with the Arabs but at vest ignored them
