Having looked into it a little, it seems the author has spoken about their own assault, so, while I'm still perturbed with the framing of the romance, they are writing about something they have more of a perspective on than I do, and I recognise that I had a bit of a kneejerk reaction to feeling uncomfortable.

Really enjoying this book, but the romance is kinda yikes. From wildly inappropriate and scary moment to mention feelings to the magic of waving away the trauma of rape a few days later. Honestly, feel kinda gross and if I wasn't enjoying everything else as much I would DNF now.
