my problem with this type of rom-com is that the woman protagonist is always what i like to call a "manic pixie moron": an obnoxious, stubborn, self-centered, brain-dead "quirky" girl who hates personal style and makeup and hair and hygiene and basic time management but somehow rich, gorgeous, successful men are just DYING to date her.
