Figured it out… character development is lacking. I’m not really invested in any of the characters’ journey, including the protagonist. The aunt seems interesting but haven’t gotten much from her yet.

I've been struggling to get into this audiobook and I'm not sure why. The topic is a winner. the writing is very good. The narration is excellent. What's the issue?
