maybe if i continue reading about mothers like i am hungry but also slightly unnerved by it i.e. like i am scratching an itch i know i should not scratch (knowing it will bleed) or poking a bruise i know i should not poke (knowing it will hurt) one day i will have my fill & the wound will scab over and my stomach will settle.
