Whoa. I clearly missed the book was a suspense thriller and did not match the cozy from Hallmark. A gun to Emma's head and all the curse words by page 38 is quite the difference.

Most folks forget 'standard mystery' and assume every series that isn't 'thriller / horror' must be 'cozy'. They aren't. There is serious 'standard mystery' stuff like this that is less violent but still adult. Swearing is normal. Gun and violence, we can do without of course.
