Beowulf is a noble warrior who comes to King Hrothgar to help his kingdom defeat evils from the Fenn. Beowulf first defeats Grendel, a monster descended from Cain, the first murderer. Grendel's mother then comes to seek Grendel's arm that the King and Beowulf men hung as a trophy against Grendel. Beowulf seeks her out through the Fenn, kills her, and finishes off Grendel. and takes his head as a trophy to the king.
