"She baffled him, turning his careful world upside down. He wanted her body with a burning lust he had never felt for his elegant mistresses, and that was bad enough. But he also wanted to know her mind, her thoughts and opinions, her feelings. He wanted to lose himself in that calm brightness of hers and be clean again."

Started off quite promisingly, but that didn't really hold true. The story and especially the characters are flat and a little boring; there's no spark.

I hate it when book summaries on the back are not accurate.

Juliana Philippa Meh. It started off promising, but it has definitely petered out for me. I was really intrigued by the main characters at the beginning and thought their romance would be a really great one ... not really so. Not at all feeling the connection between them, for some reason the love scenes leave me absolutely bored (I think this is the first time ever that I've wanted to skim through them), and the hero and heroine as individuals are ... boring. Flat. Not very well-defined. Looks my first FV review is not going to be a glowing one :-(.

Juliana Philippa And I think I'm going to have to choose this as my fav quote, because as much as I have been desperately searching for a selection of choices, am not finding much so far.

Just be honest. :) Better luck on the next one with FV!

I really hate when a relationship or a character has such potential but then just drifts away into Boring Land.
