Debbie Y How is it so far, Rebecca? I’m still waiting for my copy. :)

I'm really enjoying it! Think I will probably finish it tomorrow. Very interesting with interviews with the band and the photography is excellent, it's like a piece of art! Think you will really enjoy it! Hope you get yours soon, was surprised how fast mine arrived, just a couple of days after I ordered it!

Debbie Y Hey, you did get your copy really fast, which is awesome! I’m glad you’re loving it, but not surprised at all. Norwegians tends to do things flawlessly. Now you got me curious about the photography in the book. :)

Rebecca Mann A large portion of the book is photography, from concerts and their early days, think you will appreciate it! Love the quality of the book, the paper, the texture, really impressed with it.

Debbie Y I had no idea the photography takes such a big chunk of the book. I wonder who are the featured photographers? I can’t wait to receive my copy! Honestly, I also can’t wait to see what Ulver’s next release would be like.

Rebecca Mann Some of them are from the band's archives, a lot of photos Kristoffer Rygg has taken himself, and there are image credits at the end. Ingrid Aas took a lot of the concert photography, but there are various photographers mentioned.
I would be excited for a new Ulver release, still listen to The Assassination of Julius Caesar and Flowers of Evil nearly every day! They were my number one on Spotify last year, and probably will be this year too! I do wonder what direction they would take next, a similar sound or something completely different?

Debbie Y That’s so cool some of the pictures in the book were taken by Kristoffer. I can’t wait to see it all. “The Assassination of Julius Caesar” is my favorite non metal Ulver album. It’s near flawless in my opinion, but I really do love every single album, while “Bergtatt” will forever remain my absolute favorite by them. The atmosphere in this album is just unmatched! I think Watain were my most played on Spotify last year. I squeezed “The Agony and Ecstasy” to the last drop while I was waiting for the vinyl to arrive. :)

You know, I won’t be surprised if Ulver will take a completely different direction, as that’s part of the charm. The versatility. “Flowers of Evil” did a good job maintaining the current style, but I have a feeling they have more surprises in their sleeves, and I’m more than curious to find out!

Rebecca Mann I can't decide which I like the best out of The Assassination... and Flowers of Evil, both are amazing! I also really enjoy their cover songs on Childhood's End, have been listening to that one quite a bit lately too! And Shadows of the Sun is wonderful too. Bergtatt is definitely my favourite Ulver though, such a perfect album! You are right, they are such a versatile band with so much variety in their discography. Hopefully they are working on something new, would be so excited to hear it!
