Wow. I’ve spoken of this book to my friend all afternoon! I can’t believe it’s taken me this long to read it! Now I don’t want to put it down because I just want to finish it, but I don’t want it to end. It’s challenging me as I place myself in the time and steps of these reformers… and finding myself lacking where they were strong!

That chapter was hard to read… oh their faithfulness amidst such violent persecution! Beautiful to consider the suffering of this world ending in the glory that awaits beyond this world, but terrifying to realize the depths of hatred for those who seek to honor God above man!

Calvin just delivered his first sermon… now I’m really hooked to this book and what will come next!
