OKAY SO chapter 4 was INSANE. The discovery of his disease led Ivan Ilitch into this agony and anxiety spiral and the contrast with the way he's been living his life so far is really is really amazingly told. I absolutely love how Tolstoï is narrating that part of Ilitch's life, the feeling of loneliness, of fear and the consciousness of the character of how everyone else treats him now that he's sick. 10/10

Just finished the last story. It wasn't my favourite but it was really great. I loved the change in character and the way Andreitch's death is depicted. I really enjoyed the contrast between his and nikita's approach to death.

It's actually pretty interesting to see how Ivan Ilitch played his life and how he navigated it, his relationship with his family and his job. I like the way he's just someone who seems all perfect and well-made with no hesitation on how to live his life. I'm enjoying reading his life story, waiting to see what led him to his death and the details about it since I really like how Tolstoi portrays death in his books.

Started the death of Ivan ilitch. First chapter was okay. Second chapter was better, I think I liked the outside pov better cause with the pov of Piotr I was getting a bit confused with all the different characters and Russian names
