Functionally and structurally not even that bad, but when forced to dig through a characterless mass of technicalities (that don't even do a good descriptive job - what on earth is 'hair the colour of breadcrust'?!?), one tends to lose patience rather quickly...

Look - you're writing about space. Space! This is Sci-Fi! The most exciting genre in all of human history, spanning vast potentialities and impossible ideas, and the best you come up with is "Clive Leighton, Associate Legal Analyst and sometime diver"? COME ON. Not only is that boring but I've WORKED with the guy! Here! On earth! In a corporate job!

Parody is an art and this is an airport gallery.

Ironically, illustrating only what the Hitchhiker's Guide was meant to parody (though the Guide actually predates this particular specimen). In-between trashy 19th-century romance/adventure and a genre that can only be described as "emulating the smell of yellowed pages and broken backs".
