White-nose syndrome - fungal disease which bats can get. Once it spreads in an area, sometimes the healthy bats will leave the group and try to find shelter on their own.

Abbi finds the first graph strange as the sound waves are too long to be from a bat and the amplitude (height of the wave) seems too high.

Abbi cannot be up on the balcony to record things herself because the elevator in the castle was broken and is awaiting to be repaired.

Abbi has been recording animal sounds for as long as she could remember. For her birthday, her mom had bought her a special bat detection microphone to record the sounds bats made and transform them into something audible. It could even track the bats' flight paths based on their calls!
