Istg a book had never made me cringe so fucking hard until this one.
I liked the beginning of chapter 52 and then the bedroom scene w aelin and Rowan… but how the chapter ended… no way💀💀
So damn cringey!! Like EWWW!!😭😭
Rowan is supposed to be this big broody man who’s 300 yrs old but he’s whipped by a 19 yr old💀💀💀💀 I can’t w this anymore it’s not cute

Chapter 42 gave me major icks… like this book is so different from the other 3-5 books in the series…
Like wdym aelin and Rowan are having a silent/mental convo in front of arobynn and she tells him that she’s not wearing any undergarment under her dress…💀💀💀 like huuuuh?? Major ick and just a cringe honestly
I miss what this series was.

Rowan and aedion aren’t being annoying alpha-males anymore, but I hate that they’re referred to as “males”💀 kill me now lmao
ALSO elide and manon’s story is getting interesting as well!! I feel so bad for Elide and how she’s treated by manon lmao
And ngl, chapters 34, 39, and 41 did make me feel things, both happy and sad🥺😩 maybe there’s hope for this book

Why am I having a tough time w this book? Normally a chapter like chapter 29 would’ve made me smile and giggle, but it just read like fanfiction to me💀💀 what is going on w this series?!?!? Like… Rowan telling himself not to act on his impulses when he’s sleeping next to aelin… like dawg… you that horny??💀💀💀💀
The characters rlly aren’t themselves rn… like wtf

I’m dying bc there’s still so much swagger and clicking of tongues!!🤩😋 SJM is on a roll here!!
But fr, chapter 28 made me giggle and kick my feet in the air… I loved the Rowan and celaena reunion sm… but the whole alpha-male nonsense that both Rowan and aedion are displaying is lowkey giving me the ick…
