Jamie Now what would a romance book written in 2023 be if the characters didn’t avoid each other until the last chapter??? 😂 I can’t stand that the new norm for romance books is become that they are literally never together. It seems like every book I read recently the characters are avoiding each other for one reason or another

Negative motivation is frustrating and a lazy way to write. This book doesn’t even really have conflict other than him not wanting her to work for him because reasons. I don’t know why I’m supposed to care about them getting together when they aren’t even together beyond one sex scene.
