Now what would a romance book written in 2023 be if the characters didn’t avoid each other until the last chapter??? 😂 I can’t stand that the new norm for romance books is become that they are literally never together. It seems like every book I read recently the characters are avoiding each other for one reason or another

This book doesn’t even really have conflict other than him not wanting her to work for him because reasons. I don’t know why I’m supposed to care about them getting together when they aren’t even together beyond one sex scene.
