Okay, so already in books I and II, Socrates claims that the truly just form of government is an aristocracy where public opinion is useless and philosophers rule the state. He also supports censorship because children can't think for themselves or tell fact from fiction.

Now I understand why so many Athenians thought he was "corrupting the youth".
