When Being a People Pleaser Goes Too Far

The thing- the thing about Hardy is, his set up is always the same.
Two people who will end up together.
One party falls in love w/ and marries the wrong person.
Something happens to said oopsie spouse.
Finally the meant-to-be come together.
I think Hardy believed in soulmates.

For the first time reading a Hardy novel, I’m unsure who the endgame couple will be!
I have my very strong suspicions, but for once it’s not as obvious. Here we go!!!!
