So incredibly fascinating! A wonderful look at the first American Indian writer, writing from about 1815-1842. I’m just reading the introduction right now, which is over 80 pages, but I’m all in to this record of Jane Johnston Schoolcraft (English name), (Bamewawagezhikaquay) Ojibwa name. Diving deep into Michigan history and LOVING it!
