Hows it going so far?

I'm actually quite enjoying it. It seems very, very straightforward compared to his other novels. Kinda like Century Rain, but not utterly shit. I love the "Mars in the future where nobody realizes they are on Mars" idea, referencing the Spirit and Opportunity rovers, and the other Mars missions. We have the Mother and Sisters too.

In fact, I know most of my Mars geography and geology from Red Mars and other science fiction novels, so this feels like a fantasy as written by the characters in those novels.

And then its funny because fantasy and adventure fiction written about the society on Mars has been mentioned a few times so far, so I'm guessing that will become a bigger part in the story later. Will it reference Red Mars or War of the Worlds or Barsoon or other classic Mars fiction? I hope so!

I got the Century Rain feeling too, especially when they're being chased by the Angels at the beginning -- it really reminded me of the creepy children and the subways, which is the one part of Century Rain I actually enjoyed.
