This book goes so hard. The main character is twelve but feels both very adult and also is a child dealing with a lot. The mom is so realistic. I never felt like it was talking down to me, ever.
A lot of mg books make me feel like 12 is just a baby really. This book makes me realized how grown up I thought I was at 12.
