Nov 7 - The end! To the man who wrote Dracula's Child and said "actually he's a drunk and their marriage is suffering" did you read the 7 yrs later? I worry he's undoing what Stoker intended. Even though they certainly have their traumas I reject the idea that it would shake their marriage. Maybe one day I'll read it and find out what he's doing with Stoker's characters. Anyways! Dracula done for the 2nd time!!

Nov 6 - "My heart leaped as I saw it, for I felt that the end was coming." Indeed the end has come.

Nov 5 - We're nearing the end! and now i'm caught up! October got away from me. Another Van Helsing entry!
"At once I exulted and feared; for now, for good or ill, the end was near." Dracula's castle is now in sight!
Enter, the wives. Them coming out of the snow like that brings to mind the Japanese yuki-onna - the snow woman. Is Stoker doing that on purpose? It seems like an obvious reference to me

Nov 4 - to the Borgo Pass! Someone mentioned that Van Helsing doesn't often write his own entries... is that true? I haven't noticed. If so, then here's a rare Van Helsing POV! Mina is becoming an unnerving travelling companion. It's so interesting that he radiates confidence in the other entries but from his own POV: "And I am afraid, afraid, afraid!—I am afraid of all things—even to think but I must go on my way."

Nov 1 - "They are very, very superstitious" Mina you're also constantly invoking god. You and your whole crew. I would say that constitutes a superstitious nature in you as well. "when the woman who served us saw the scar on my forehead, she crossed herself and put out two fingers towards me, to keep off the evil eye." AND WAS SHE WRONG??? don't say it was just ultra superstition when you know what your mark means!!!
