I find it so hilarious when people name their bikes for trips, and the bike becomes a character in the book. (Full disclosure: I fully name my bikes).

I don’t name my bikes, but know a number of people who do. Still, when I ended up giving away my first touring bike, I almost cried. There were so many memories attached to it.

There were so many memories attached to it."Front and center on my emergency evacuation list, right after the dogs, is my road bike, Ghost. I've ridden it for 20+ years across five states and at this point, probably close to 10K miles. I don't have a ton of memories attached to those trips, but I do consider it my faithful steed.
